The tour starts from the conference hotel at 8:30 and return to Reykjavik will be around 17:30.
Golden Circle
The Golden Circle is a round tour of the southern part of the island. You will see our stunning Gullfoss waterfall, the well-known geysers, and Thingvellir National Park.
Friðheimar
At the end of our golden circle tour we will have lunch at Friðheimar greenhouse restaurant. Friðheimar is a greenhouse where tomatoes are grown all year (https://www.fridheimar.is/en).
Hellisheiðarvirkjun
Hellisheiðarvirkjun is the newest and largest geothermal powerplant in Iceland, located just outside Reykjavík (https://www.on.is/en/environment/geothermal-park/)

Conference Dinner in Viðey
Viðey is a beautiful small island that lies just beyond the city shore https://reykjavikcitymuseum.is/videy-island?_ga=2.80818327.1677153437.1674206953-1444406437.1669632816.
We will take a ferry from the old harbour at 18:30 and will be back in the city centre around 22:30. It takes around 20 minutes to sail to the island.
